Leroy Thanks for that info on the sound system. I think I will look into
that two. Have you ever used RejeX soil barrier / anti- stain protection before? It is supposed to be used on aircraft. Bugs & dirt & stains will not stick to the paint. I got some at the RV show in Tampa last winter. Goes on easy & off easy. Buy the way I lived in north Tampa for 10 years in the 60's. I'm from the north & moved back. Don 89 SP 36' Butler, PA I was born and raised inTampa. Brutal summers, not much better in Niceville. Wish I could move back out West. We'll see. What are you doing with two Birds? Curt That looks like I might have to try that. Always looking for
something good. The Rejex is $100.00 a gal. It was $20 a quart where I got it. Don 89 SP36' Butler, PA There are several Polymer Sealant products that work very well to seal paint, release bug splatter, etc. I use/buy mine from MARK V, $22.00/gal. Don:
The sound system really is a good value. Don't need to run a bunch of wires. Never heard of rejeX. Presumably it can be used on paint. Where do you buy it? I went to school in Brandon. Mom still lives in Palm River. Now she is very old. Leroy Eckert 1990 WB 40 Niceville, FL ----- Original Message ----- From: dspithaler@... Hi Don:
Went on the net and found RejeX. I have used CorrosionX on aluminum. Same manufacturer. How does it perform. Sound like the product replaces wax. Don,
Look on the MARK V web site http://www.mark-v.com/ The site isn't maintained the best. Go to the bottom and click on POLISH and then check IP-100 Poly Shine, or IP-200. For many years now I have used the IP-100 on all my vehicles, light or dark color, Bird, Truck, Cars, etc. (too many vehicles, 42 foot wide driveway and it's filled). Their products are great. The folks that have seen our Bird can tell you the Bird looks like new (paint was in pretty good condition when we bought the Bird, but required some work). The first time you apply it, it takes slightly longer to get the coating on (I can tell you in detail about this), but after the first coat, and you redcoat within 9 to 12 months, it goes on so easy it is unbelievable, and after drying it comes off so easy. Keep this in mind...years ago (maybe today too) when a new car buyer was offered the expensive coating/shine that would last almost forever...this stuff is the same thing...just doesn't cost you hundreds of dollars, but you do the work, which really isn't bad. You do need to purchase the covered sponge(s) to apply the product. Our local detail supply store sells them. Terry towels work great for removal. On our '87, lots of rivets, I use a tooth brush to remove the residue around all rivets, windows, awning hardware, etc. when I'm removing the dryed IP-100...I refuse to leave any build up. Contact MARK V. Let me know if you need to me purchase the product and have it shipped to you. I'm glad to do that. You pay only the cost, nothing more, not even my cost to drive over there. I stop in there at least once a month so no big deal. I have nothing to do with the companies. I'm just willing to promote their great products because of my experience using their products. What can I say? One is never enough, right? I bought the 74FC as a
project because the previous owner pulled the Ford gas engine & installed a Detroit 6V53T with the 4 speed Allison gearbox. It also has a 15 kw Kubota genset & 3 roof ACs. Nothing inside but a rear bedroom with drawers & closets, shower, bath sink, toilet & a Dometic refer. No other seating or galley cabinets in it. Was built as a mobile showroom for a clothing manufacturer. I planned to design a galley for it & put seating up front. Not sure what I will do with it now. That Detroit does move it pretty good down the highway though. Then I came across the PT40 here in MT & decided to get it too. Then started the work to refurbish/restore it. Am in the middle of that project now. Next step will be to repaint it. All the prep work for painting is about completed. Just seem to always have a project or 2 going on so thought the PT40 would be a good one. The wife has decided that she really likes it so we plan to use it for a few years. Terry,
Just curious what color is the 74. I saw one [no idea of year] in Albany, Ga. several years ago that a fellow had. The best I remember he followed the Rodeo circuit. It had only a bedroom and bathroom in rear the rest was a showroom. He had a very expensive line of custom boots [$500.00 up] and belts and other leather items he sold. He had some health problems and was pretty old then. It was a solid dark green not attractive at all. This may well be the same one Howard. It's 2 shades of green (medium &
a lighter shade) with a white separation stripe plus white roof.. Not too bad but wouldn't have been my first choice for colors. The coach has 60k on it & the engine & gearbox about 20k according to the invoices for same. I bet it's the same as I talked to the factory & they confirmed that it was built to the owners specs. I have the blueprints & it's still the same as the day it was built inside. Terry Neal Bozeman, MT 82PT40 74FC34 Howard O. Truitt wrote: > Terry, > Just curious what color is the 74.
