Yeah, I'm sarcastic. 90% of new is great, if you can get it. Greed is good, or
haven't you heard?

Mike: Do I detect some sarcasim in that last post? 10 cents is extreme
but 90 cents on the dollar is robbery.

Greedy people think good is being the winner. they also think winning
has to do with money. The best place to get top dollar for
Wanderlodge parts and coaches is on these forums. The worst place to
get a good deal on parts and coaches is on these forums. Bruce is one
of the good forum people to standup and stop the hype from
benifitting the money winners . Todd saved forum members over
$2,000.00 on electric surge protectors. Curt did countless hours of
electronic work to my bus for free. I can go on and on talking about
the greedless good people of the forum.

100% of fair is great, if you can get it. Fair is good, or haven't
you ever tried?

Greg: I am a 3rd generation businessman. My father tought me that a
good deal is "good" when both parties are satisfied. The seller or
provider of a service must charge enough to show a reasonable profit.
Otherwise he will not be in business long enough to provide service on
the product. The buyer or receiver of the service is entitled to a
product that works properly and is made well enough to last. A very
simple business philosophy. I can understand why Mike made that
comment. The RV community has a reputation of being downright cheap! On
the other hand the RV dealerships have a reputation of being
incompetent.

In this case the seller wanted $8.00 a foot for 24 year old aluminum
mouldings. When I pointed out they were only $5 new he adjusted his
price to match!! How about $500 for the original sofa!! That should be
a $50 to 100 item !!!! New Jacknife sofas are about $800.

OK, enough of this thread. No more responses. Thank you.

I am not just cranky because I'm at work on Sunday. The Forum rules do
not allow personal attacks and this one is getting way too close to it.

The seller is a member and I'm sure he has now gotten the message that
many think his asking prices are out of line. From my standpoint, he
is the one that put up the risk money to purchase and move Rick's
wreck that has been for sale for several years now. Obviously Rick
was not giving it away. Anyone here could have bought it and set
their own prices. If you don't like his prices, negotiate or don't
buy. But don't be responding to this thread.

The Hatteras guy unsubscribed based on group feedback to him. We
don't need another member run off when he was trying to free up parts
for the community. How many others here are parting out Birds?

NO MORE RESPONSES TO THIS THREAD.

Rick Archie's 84' FC35 SB gets parted out
A new Horton fan clutch in the box lists for about $900 according to my local
truck parts criminals. Less fan mind you. I got mine for a very small discount.
The parts I offer are the complete fan clutch assembley with 23" plastic fan,
torque anchor and wiring in excellent condition. Most FCs I have seen feature
steel fans, plastic is an up grade. The bearings and seals have been replaced
per Cat procedures. Pictures on request. I throw junk away, too many try to
sell it, please don't place me in that catagory.

Rick Archie's 84' FC35 SB gets parted out
Bruce,
As you so aptly stated "a good deal is where both parties are satisfied" when
the deal is completed. If Joe Bird pays $500 for the sofa both parties are
satisfied. Recently we saw a deal take place on a BB for $50,000 that recieved a
lot of scrutiny. Again the buyer evidently was satisfied and surely the seller
was and I was happy for both of them. It's not up to me to critique Joe Birds
deal. Again it's the free enterprise system at work. No one is concerned about
how many parts off the Rich Archie BB will not sell, except to the junk dealer.
