agreed Ernie , looks like I will need to open the door and see where I have a short on the dash lock for the dead bolt. I reset it and can lock the door but she trips and wont reset in the locked position , any thoughts ?

Al- poor design by Bluebird- all the wires get strained by the door going full open- bet one of them has come loose from the butt connectors

yea, maybe it was when I made the latch repair . they were all but connected from a prior repair ( not by me ) on the out of square door frame. The door is not one of BB best designs . if she were built like the Prevert door , wow what a door we would have .
