LXi Parasitic Load
The bigger newer birds have a reputation for being power hogs. I've long wanted to measure the parasitic load on my house battery bank to see if this myth can be busted. I unplugged from shore power, turned off my inverters, and threw my A/T switch. I then switched off my house bank, disconnected the grounds, inserted my ammeter, and turned on my battery disconnect.

End result... drum roll please...

I have a 5 amp draw on the house bank. It would take 5.25 days to drain my battery bank down to 50% DOD.
