Port Canaveral Fl. Area - Parking for RV

Have any members taken a cruise out of Port Canaveral FL? I have a RV
parking question:

I just booked a trip on the Disney Line and am interested in taking
the BB down. I see on the Port Canaveral web-site parking for large
vehicles is available; or I might just park at the nearby Jetty Park
where we have watched space shots before.

Any experiences,thoughts, suggestions or cautions about either option
(my main worry is a break-in to the bus)?
