Somehow (no other scratches or scrapes) I managed to tear part of the original black water valve off. The valve needs to be replaced and is was originally apparently glued on. A previous owner had the pipe coming out of the tank wrapped in something so without a sawzall, I can't even see what I'm up against. I had the local (very small) RV place look at it and he thought there was a good chance the tank was going to have to be pulled and replaced. He recommended Stiers in Bakersfield but Bakersfield is a little out of the way. Any comments on Stiers or another suggestion would be appreciated.
