Houston to Big Bend

US 90 is a good road. Have a full tank of fuel as there is not a truck
stop
on the stretch between San Antonio and Del Rio, that I know of.
There is a Walmart in Hondo and a bigger Super Walmart in Uvalde. You
will go through the tiny town of D'hanis.(that is where we spend our
winters). There is a good restaurant there across the RR tracks on the
north side of the highway. It is called Bill and Rosa's KK Steakhouse
and Saloon. They are open Wednesday through Sunday, 830-363-7230. Down
home cooking with an eclectic atmosphere. Of course, there is the
requisite Dairy Queen along that route, too. There is a very nice rest
area between D'hanis and Sabinal.

Will you be coming through within the next 2 weeks? If so and if we are
still in D'hanis, we could have a cup of coffee together.
