Houston to Big Bend

I have driven that route frequently although not recently and it is scenic and desolate (no towns). Big Bend is great and be sure to go to Marfa, Ft. Davis and Alpine. Terlingua and Balmoria Springs are most interesting; great state park at Springs. Alpine has great restaurant, the nameis Reata. Ft. Davis has good state park.
