changing belts and hoses

I have opened my swing radiator three times in the last year,
the most recent I removed it altogether. Removal took 1.5 hours (disconnected
all hoses) and install was 1 hour. It’s a great time saver.

Subject: Re: [WanderlodgeForum] changing belts and hoses

I have a 82 35FC which has a swing out radiator with a drop swing
bumper after the first time I opened it I did away with the long hoses, which
are difficult to deal with and also I changed the air intake which was not
sufficient for the air flow required for a 3208. I now have to drain the
radiatorand remove the hoses by detaching the flanges, it might take a
little longer, but I have less busted knuckles. A word or advise if you
pull the radiator be sure to replace the oil filter to block hose. This is
why I had to pull open the radiator the first time, on the road side on
I-95 in South Carolina. good luck

I
can't answer your questions -- but it's a good time to consider making the
changes to convert to a swing out radiator.

It looks like I will need to be replacing some belts on my 77FC35
fairly soon.

All are still working, but getting a bit loose.

Do I understand correctly that getting to the belts on the 77FC35 involves
removing the bumper, front panel and radiator ?

If it's going to be a big job like that, I presume I will want to replace all
belts and any hoses in that area while I have the radiator off.

Can anyone who has done this task offer me some clues? If I were to pay
someone to do it, can anyone estimate what I should expect it to cost?
