315/80 vs 12R - was Overweight

Why would you want to pay +$200 to $300 per tire for Michelins? Do you actually
perceive that additional value in your tires? I have yet to wear out any tire
unless it was mis-aligned or damaged. Mine change due to age and a less
expensive tire does the job.
