Holding tanks frozen. Now what?

On mine, the tank heaters are electric pads under the tanks. The blackwater
heater had been left on at some point with a (presumably) empty tank, and caused
large cracks in the bottom along the lines of the wires in the pad. I had to
remove and repair the tank.
