Height control valves
Hi Morey, Well I've learned that the Ridewell component is an Imediate Response HCV whereas the Haldex part that we all use is a Controlled Response HCV. I'm consequently abandoning this effort. What I wanted to do was to reduce the deadband thereby achieving a more consistent ride height. The IR of the Ridewell part may result in a poorer ride. The Haldex CR effectively filters the input so that only prolonged offsets in ride height are acted upon. Conversely, the Ridewell part will act on every deflection that exceeds it's 3 deg deadband; i.e., lots of air movement, (exhaust and intake), which may lead to an overworked air compressor, and possibly excessive ride height changes at the air spring and quite possible poorer suspension performance.
