				Engine compartment cooler

At the top of my engine is a squirel cage fan that directs air over

the engine. It does not seem to work. Anybody know how it works. Looks like there is a sensor wire running to the engine. Is it useful or should I just forget about it? BTW for those who remember my alternator problem, all seems to be working well. The volt and amp meter are a little flaky, but when I test everything it is ok. Thanks for the help.
