I have always let my stay on all the > > Time. > > > > Donny Goodwin 2003 LXI > > Montgomery, AL The battery chargers are separate from the inverters, even though they are housed in the same unit they will activate anytime they sense ac power from either shore power, or generator power regardless whether or not you have the inverter on, or off. This is if your using a remote panel which I assume you have. Leaving the inverter switch on will cause units to invert once ac current is not longer detected. The inverters will then take charge of all currents assigned to them, ie electrical outlets, such as TV, microwave, refrigerator, and so on. Check your manual to further see what they will power. And, likewise if in the off position when ac current is unplugged/shut off they will not power items listed above. I normally leave mine in the off position unless I need to use them.
