				Wanting to go Green

We have an 88FC35 with a 8KW diesel generator but there are certain

locations I would like to go and not fire up that noisy beast! I would like to go solar or maybe even wind generator, I need to know where should I start. I have 4 house batteries, 6 volts each, plus 2 start and 1 generator start battery and I would like to be able to go 60 - 75% solar. Is this conceivable? Where do I need to start? I'm somewhat mechanically challanged but I do know how to hold a screwdriver. I'm not really interested in a plug & go system, I think a pieced component system would be cheaper but I will listen to experience. Anyone with a solar setup willing to share I would greatly appreciate it. John - Bird Brains- Louisville, KY |
