My wife and I, along with 20 or so good friends, have been going to the 500 for 10 years. We did stay in the infield once. It was exprnsive and had some undesirable limits on it at that time. If a person wanted to visit you they had to have a ticket for that area--which were, at that time, $275 or so. Consequently we could not have our friends over so it was a little lonesome. That visitor limit was not made clear when we signed up for the tickets. Aparently they had it that way to keep out the "rif-raf". We have been very satisfied staying across the street, behind Hooters restaurant at Finishline Campground, buying good tickets, and walking to and from the track. It is not a "rowdy" campground. You would like it there. Look for us if you decide to stay there. Bob Criss 90SP36 |Havin Fun" Pittsburgh |
