I don't know about later model coaches. My coach has a fiberglass shower which
means gel coat, just like a boat. Silicone can be nasty. The solvent I use to
clean up when applying Silicone is Denatured Alcohol. I rarely use silicone,
many other sealants are far more efficient.

Don't rule out Corian ... I think my shower walls (in my '95) are
made of the stuff.

The silicone adhesive/caulk is difficult to remove, but a single edge
razor blade in a flat holder is often able to do the trick. I'v also
seen scrapers in the hardware store that hold a utility knife
(trapezoidal) blade. These are somewhat more robust than the razor
blades.

Hardware stores sell a variety of "adhesive solvents" for various
products ... but they require testing on a bit of the wall material
to ensure that it won't damage it. I'd go with the mechanical
(scraping) solution first -- then look for solvents only as a last
resort.

Always be gentle, as the Corian (or other plastic material) can be
easily scratched. If the walls are Corian, they can be restored by
much polishing, if you scratch while removing the silicone.
