Anyone ever use POR-15?

I've used it with good results. It's a self leveling epoxy
paint, requires surface rust for adhesion, but I've found
that it bonds well to non-rusted metal also. Rusted metal
requires a small amount of prep work - degreaser, and
phosphoric acid based etcher, then POR it on. I found that
the gloss black finish is better than the flat black finish. Flat
black gave me a very blotched appearance with sections
appearing shiny and others appearing flat - stick with the
gloss. Top coating is unnecessary for engine compartment
or undercarriage work. POR can be top coated immediately,
but if you wait too long, a self etching primer will be required.
Top coating is required for UVA/UVB protection.
