Hello group. My name is Jimmy Harvie, a new member. I purchased an 82 FC35,
last week. It's in great shape, been sitting for a few years. I have a few minor
problems to address, (sucking some air in the fuel, small leak under the air
filter. It may be the governor seals, in the pump, I haven't taken off the air
filter housing yet) Michelin xza's all around, 1124.5. They look brand new, no
dry rot, but the production date on the rears are 390, so I'm going to replace
those. I have repaired a lot of other things already, thanks to all of your help
on this forum. I have 30 years of diesel expierience, (UPS Journeyman/ Penske
tech1.Plenty of expierience on Detroit 71/92/series60-DDECV Mack Factory
training. I hope I can help anyone that needs it I'm planning on heading to Fla
in a few weeks,(I'm just west of Boston), looking forward to meeting bird owners
thanks.( Curt, not sure if this will help, but those 92 series had a restricted
fitting, somewhere on the return side of the
system,That fitting influences pump pressure. Just a thought, did you use all
of the old fittings, when you replaced the pump?, I haven't seen too many
problems with those 2 stroke pumps, most of the time, they're good for the life
of the engine,
