Carpet replacement question

Alan, I would stay away from berber on your dog house, as when you bend that
carpet around all the edges, the secondary back will grin at you. Contact cement
is the only thing that works well on the doghouse. It is best to remove the
doghouse and carpet it on a table- unless you like to be a contortionist. While
you have that baby out, you can reinsulate it- if the old is bad. There are 2
set screws on the lid hinges that need to be removed in order for the lid to
come off. A good 3/8 8 pound density pad is a must for the floor.Good luck

With the weather getting nice it's making me feel like getting out and
working on my Bird. My next project is some interior updating. I
just dropped my couch off to be recovered. I have a couple of carpet
questions for anyone that might have some experience here.

1. Has anyone used something besides a "plush" carpet (like oem)?
I've seen some nice fancy sculpted carpets that are a very low and
tight pile. ...Probably not a problem for the floors, but I haven't
done much carpet work and i'm concerned that that might be a nightmare
trying to get all the doghouse corners to look good. The plush fibers
cover up a lot of stuff.

2. Any other considerations for carpets? Like weight, firmness of
backing (for bending around corners).

3. What works well for making the carpet adhere? (Like the doghouse
and various vertical kick panels?
