Gas Springs, again
M.R.
I got springs from ORR&ORR. I ordered the 35# units but found
they were overkill, I got some 20# units and they work great on the
shorter overheads. I had fastened a booster amp for the stereo on
one of the doors, and the 35# was a perfect size.

Measure your springs retracted and extended. then look for a good
fit on the ORR&ORR site. They are great to do business with. Also,
the prices on the web are higher than the actual price you will pay.
Contact them and get a price, you will be pleased.

I also got some for the outside doors. I found the 45# units were
good for the long door on the left rear of my '78FC. I originaly got
65# units, again way too powerful. It was hard to open the door, and
stressed the hinges when open.

On my last order they inadvertently sent two incorrect springs.
When I sent an e-mail they sent the correct ones and said to just
keep the others. Real good customer service.
