FC genset fan replacement?

I have made tremendous progress in lowering my FC generator noise
through re-insulating the compartment. While engine noise is greatly
reduced, though, the noise from the radiator fan is still very
pronounced, sounds like a turbo-prop at full throttle.

Has anyone had any luck with replacing the stock fan with something
quieter? Maybe a 12v replacement for the big 110v fan? I have seen
the modification that relocates the rad to the bottom of the tray and
uses a squirrel cage fan...hoping to not need that big a project.
Would like to just replace the fan.

Suggestions?
