Genset regulator

The box that houses the regulator and the circuit brakers and reset switch is insulated with rubber mounts and plenty of air space inside the box.Moving the regulator elswhere might be a good idea, but I don't know where. It sits about 10 inches from the back of the motor with room around it.

When I had my generator replaced at Power Tech last fall, they replaced my regulator but they modified the mounting. The tech said that they are now mounting them on long machine screws and three nuts per screw. The regulator is mounted with about one inch space between the back of the regulator and the box side. It seems like a reasonable modification to keep air circulating around the unit.
