Changing FC Captain's Chairs?
I am considering changing out the front captain's chairs in my FC.
Does anyone know what new model(s) can be used? Thanks Scott Forman 82 FC35RB Memphis |

Changing FC Captain's Chairs?
Hey Scott and group,
I put new Flex Steel in my 81 last year and don't remember the model, could probably find it, whereas I keep all documentation. The only problem I had, was the new chairs did NOT mount directly onto my existing pedistals and I had to make some modifications. Also, the seats were about four inches higher, and therefore I had to make a booster platform for me to rest my feet on because even in the lowest postion my feet would not touch the floor. That by the way was my introduction to OB at the woodshop on the AFB here, and since then I have made built-in cabinets for the motor home where the dinette went, a queen sized mission bed, two night stands, three fly rod holders, a gun rack and a upright paper towel holder. We drove the new Dodge van (we bought from Jay Darst, what a guy) for eleven days, really enjoyed ourselves. However we missed not sleeping in our own beds and motel beds are by far and large "the pits." I had not been over to the Blue Bird in almost a month, went over yesterday, connected the batteries, turned on the fuel solenoid, and first turn she fired right up. It being 38 degrees I thought I would light off the furnaces and they fired right up. There are some times I will certainly miss............... Hope y'all have a Happy Thanksgiving.
