Parts quest
Hi everyone:
Spring is shaping up for some nice trips this year. Hope everyone's preventative maintenance is caught up. Be sure to add, removal of the A/C shrouds and washing out the condenser and straightening the fins up there, to your spring list. I am in search of a Bendix CC-5 cylinder off the cruise control. Anyone have one laying around in the shop anywhere? They are an obsolete part but thought that some, who have up graded from the Bendix system, might have the old stuff in a box. Thanks all, Safe travels, Ralph and Charolette Fullenwider Ralph's RV Solutions, Duncan, Oklahoma http://home.swbell.net/rlf47/index.htm |

Parts quest
Hi Ralph,
I've got most of my old Bendix cruise system still on my coach, including the actuator cylinder for speed control. Not using it anymore since moving on to Kingcruise control system. Would my part work for you? How big a job to get it out? Eric in San Antonio 84FC35SB --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Ralph L. Hi Eric:
Yes your cylinder would work nicely. Under the Coach battery tray on the back side of it, there are 3 sheet metal screws then 5 bolts with nuts that forms the cruise control enclosure. You would need to locate the in coming air source and place a plug in the original fitting. This also stops any future air leaks in that area. I believe there is one electrical plug and two bolts that holds the main body of the cylinder to the back plate. The front of the hooded cable system will un screw from the cylinder and stay there, and it is out. The plug that you need would be either a 1/4 inch or 3/8 can't remember for sure. I got mine at ACE hardware. How much do you want for it, money wise? Of course I will pay shipping costs. I do thank you for the offer of it if it is not too much trouble. A fellow Birder with an '85 pt needs it. And, no, though I am in the business, I am not charging for the cylinder, just doing a favor. The black control box and dual valves on top of it are precious as well.
