I made up this unit this week to help out when we are camping out in
an
area that doesn't have a sewer hook up. It cost around 80 dollars
for
material and it works great! I made it intentionally so that I could
take
it oft and on within a minute or so. Now I can cross connect my two
tanks and not over fill my black water tank.

Jon,
My '78 was fitted with a permanent setup like yours by a PO (but it
is under the coach). I always thought it was just to allow using only
one hose for the hookup. I have a grey water dump valve, a black water
dump valve, and one in the center of the pipe that traverses between.
The dump hose connects on one end of the pipe that traverses.

I am not sure I would want to route it to the grey water tank, but
then with todays regulations and practices, I wonder why coaches are
made with two tanks anyway. Your house dumps into one septic/sewer,
why should your motorhome be different.

I realize that some boondockers may dump the grey water on the
ground, but it is no longer considered an acceptable practice in most
areas of the country.
