Thinking of upgrading original Trace Inverter/Charger in 2000 LXI
After 8 years they are still working fine but our 5 yr. old AGM coach
batteries are in need of replacement. I have heard that anything over 5 yrs. on an inverter charger is a gift, so I figure now would be the time to do it, especially with the AGM equalization capability in the new units. Anybody had this done? |

Ron(?),
AGM batteries don't ever require equalization since they are not wet cell. They do benefit from the multi stage charger technology contained in the inverters starting before your 2000 LXI was made. If you are set on replacing your current inverter, take a look at the product made by Magnum Energy. They are more like flooded acid batteries than gel. This is a great site. This is a comparison page. Go to "RV" from here: -Types of batteries- comparison Good people to call. I learned that my inverter was not one of the best. Ross |
