Lone Star Birds Holiday Happening Rally

This is THE LAST notice for the Lone Star Birds
year-end Holiday Happening Rally that is scheduled
for the weekend of November 30 thru December 2, 2007.

I am told that Macy Neshati, VP of Marketing & Sales for
Wanderlodge is planning to attend. This will be your chance to hear
of up-to-date Wanderlodge information direct from the source.
Macy, see the notes below regarding on-site housing, or contact me
offline for local information.

20 (or 21) of the 30 reserved sites are already spoken for.
See the list of registered attendees below my signature block
at the end of this message if you want to know if your name
is on the list. JOHN BENHAM, you are listed for 2 sites. Is that

In order to plan for the meals, I will be releasing any unused
reserved spaces this weekend. Therefore, you must make your
reservations before Saturday, Nov. 17, at noon.

The rally location is Buckhorn Lake RV Resort in
Kerrville, Texas. This is the same resort that the BB
Family of Friends group will be having a rally at
in April of 2008. Make sure you specify the *November Lone Star
Birds* rally when registering as there has been some confusion on the
multiple BB rallies with people calling to register for both of them!

Buckhorn is right off IH-10 at Exit 501. They
are taking reservations now at (800) 568-6458 or
online at http://www.buckhornlake.com/ .
The resort rally rate is $26.00 per night.
You *must* specify that you are with the Lone Star
Birds Rally to get the rally rate. You can use that
rate for an additional 3 nights, either immediately
before or immediately after the official rally dates.
We have Birds arriving as early as Wednesday and leaving
as late as the following Tuesday.

Buckhorn is one of the finest big-rig RV resorts
in the country and there are plenty of nearby
attractions if you come early or stay late (see
http://www.buckhornlake.com/attractions.htm).

If you want to attend without a coach, they have just
completed three new guest cottages that are now available
that weekend. The rate is $110/night for 2 people with a two night
minimum stay.

**PLEASE let me know when you register.** Either email
me offline or fill in an entry in the Rally Sign-Up Database
of the WanderlodgeForum.

**Note: We need a head count for accurate
planning on a couple of items.

Detailed information will be emailed to registered
attendees after this weekend, along with the projected
rally rate per coach or per person.

Tentatively, the schedule will include a cook out Friday
night, full breakfast buffet Saturday morning, coach
tours on Saturday morning, dinner Saturday night followed
by a party and gift exchange, and the traditional LSB
pot-luck breakfast on Sunday.
