Winterizing

Anyone have any suggestions for protecting the shine on
my newly buffed cast aluminum wheels when I put her away for
the winter.

Hi Chuck,

I cover mine with the tyre covers from Camping World. They have a
bungee cord that holds them in place. Last year, mine only required a
little surface wipe with a polish rag to get them shiny after winter.

Some of the wheel polishes contain a silicone that serves as a protection
against oxidation. I use "Blue Magic" brand, which on newly buffed wheels will
add even a little more shine and not require much work to apply.
