				Air Brake System

Trying to eliminate some leaks. Found 2 things leaking that are on the

auxilliary air tank. They are listed as #2 on the schematic and are called Valve,Pressure Protection, 65 PSI MR. Any one know what there purpose is?? Elmer in Sebring, 86 PT 38 |

That should be the check valve that isolates/protects the air bags,

step, and aux air fittings (air chucks in the compartment, etc.) from the rest of the braking system. If the air pressure falls below 65 PSI this would isolates those from the air tanks so that if the leak was in that circuit you would not lose braking. Those valves are reasonable and can be bought at NAPA,they have a number on the unit to identify it. It is a common problem for them to leak after some aging. Fred & Jeanne Hulse Morristown Arizona 1997 Wanderlodge WLWB41 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
