Stared for Q and... Earhquake!!!
We headed out of Eureka this morning, and stopped for the night in Dunnigan.
Made a routine call to my business only to learn that they had a "big one" a short while earlier. Power out, stuff on the floor, etc. 6.2 on the Richter. Reports have all said that it felt like it went on forever. My Internet Manager said it was the first time he's ever thought he wasn't going to survive an earthquake. My General Manager was working for us when we had a 7.1 in 1992, and he said this one felt a lot worse. We have a tenant who looks after our place and cats while we are gone. She wasn't home when it hit, and didn't get there for an hour or so after, but said the power had been restored by the time she got there. Not much broken, and the oddest thing was that every drawer in the place (kitchen, bedroom chests, etc.) were standing open. Doesn't sound like we will need to abort our trip, certainly hope not! |

Stared for Q and... Earhquake!!!
Don
As a former Californian,I can understand howuncertain the emotions are..
I recall many times a shaker at the store and it was not quiet nor was it to be ignored.
I can still remember the fear in the faces of people as they tried to go about everyday errands and attending to business.
