Future of Class A's ?
While surfing the web I came across an interesting looking Class A.
Newmar Newaire. Made only a few of them. 2001 or 2002 and I guess they didn't catch on at that time perhaps for a number of reasons. Sort of appealing looking to me. Wouldn't want to full time in one that small but I would prefer something like that to a class C or a B. Futuristic looking as well. John Heckman central Pa 1973 FC |

I suspect they didn't sell in 2001 because diesel was cheap and we
were still in the big is better thinking. I bet there are bunch of dealers who would rather have a couple of those to sell over the 45fts they have now. I looked at the one on eBay as well. My BB is getting 10 to 11 mpg and I have no reason to move but I thought it very interesting. Maybe Newmar will think about re-introducing something similar. The boys at BB might want to take a look. Something similar would make a nice addition to their line? Something for the little guy. I think it was expensive in comparison to similarly equipped, but larger, class A's (something like $190K). Plus it had no basement, no slides, no propane, all electric - but certainly ahead of it's time. As far as BB building something similar... As appealing as that sounds, I think they're better off perfecting one model for the very high-end (sort of Newell's business model). BB tried the lower-end with the M380, but found that the buyers wanted the same features at the same quality as the high-end M450.
