WE DID IT ! Finally Bird Owners

We have spent the last 3 months seriously seeking a Bird. I have read

all the archives of the forums and followed many posts closely. Today we bought an 88 FC. I now have a million more questions! We dont lick it up for 3 weeks so will be very anxious. Does any one know the history of "Looney Bird II"? Bruce |

WE DID IT ! Finally Bird Owners

					Hi Ernie.

Coach is in Columbus Ohio but was origianlly from Pennsylvania. I have the Blue Box and there might be a receipt or something from the first owner. Just too excited to look. We are heading back to Mexico and will return to Ohio for the unit in about 3 weeks. Dont know if I will sleep till then. I learned one thing in the last few months. It is very hard to find one of the 87 to 89's in exceptional condition. Because they are newer most have not been redone and show aging. Many of the pre 85 units have been totally restored and thus look better. This coach has been stored indoors since new and it shows. The paint is very good. But I have noticed on all the 87 and up FC's I saw that the paint appears blotched. Hard to explain but when you look in the right light there are lighter and darker areas. I will try buffing and see if it helps. It is a good thing my wife was with me. I might have passed due to a few minor ailments. She feel in love with the BB and said that if I dont get this one I will never forgive myself. She was right! |
