Happy & Safe Holidays
I've been out of touch for the past couple of weeks, work related, and
am now rushing to get brakes fixed on the new Bird. There's your answer Gureasko! I'll try to get pictures of the roof rack tire lift in South Padre, unless you are coming down there also... hint, hint. With so many of our members hitting the highways during the holidays, I wanted to wish everyone the happiest of holidays and urge everyone to be extra safe in their travels. From what I have seen the past few days on the interstate highways around San Antonio, the people that seldom hit the highways are definitely out there right now and making driving interesting and challenging, so be safe. It looks like there will be a fair size gathering of Birds on South Padre over Christmas and New Years. If you are in that neighborhood, look us up, as we hope to be out of here and headed that way on Thursday night (assuming the brake air chamber arrives). Don't want to use the old reliable "spare" Bird this time, like at the LSB Rally! Happy Holidays Everyone! Mike Bulriss 1983 PT40 "Stagecoach" - For Sale 1991 WB40 "Texas Minivan" San Antonio, TX |

Mike,
Funny you should mention brakes - I'm replacing the diaphrams ("biscuits") in the tag axle actuators now. If you need a drive axle dual chamber actuator, I have a spare. Its a MGM type 30, but there are several manufacturers of the same device. See ya'll next week! Hi Bob,
Thanks for the offer on the spare air chamber - hope I don't have to take you up on it. Been having trouble finding the drive axle dual air chamber model in SA. The standard around here seems to be a 3030 model which is a much smaller rear chamber than the 3036 that BB used. Should know today if we have found a good 3036 replacement chamber. Or, we just back off the rear parking brake chamber, which is where the leak is. See you in South Padre. Be safe on your 'northern' swing before heading back south. Happy & Safe Holidays
Good luck Mike. We will be on the road starting around the 15th of
January. Will go to Albuquerque first and then to Phoenix and on to Quartzsite, AZ. Three to four weeks I suspect. R.E.
