LXi Ridewell Susp and Air Spring Part Numbers
Folks, this is what I have for LXi Ridewell suspension and air-spring part numbers.
I got these numbers from Bill Mattocks at Ridewell for the LXi: Steer suspension: RAS-227, 16000lb, Part No: 2270026 Drive/Tag combo suspension: RADT-246, 25000lb/20000lb, Part No: 2460010 The following numbers come from my LXi Blue Bird build sheet: Steer axle air-spring: Goodyear: 1R11-151 Firestone: 1T15L2 9457 Bellows: 566-22-3-021 Piston: 566-20-7-055 Drive axle air-spring: Goodyear: 1R11-152 Firestone: 1T15L2 9459 Bellows: 566-22-3-021 Piston: 566-20-7-055 Tag axle (Fixed) air-spring: Firestone: 1T15AA-3 9595 Tag axle (Steerable) air-spring: Firestone: W01-358-9387 The only difference between the 1R11-066, 1R11-151, and 1R11-152 is the position of the air connector and the bolt holes. The bellows and pistons are the same for all three. Here's a vendor who supplies the springs: http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/ I added a Firestone Air Spring Replacement Guide document to our trusty Document Library at Document Library > Chassis > Suspension > Firestone Air Spring Replacement Guide david brady, '02 Wanderlodge LXi 'Smokey' (Sold), '04 Prevost H3 Vantare 'SpongeBob' "I don't like being wrong, but I really hate being right" |

RE: LXi Ridewell Susp and Air Spring Part Numbers
To determine whether your LXi uses the 1R11-066, 151, or 152, from what I can tell they all share the same bellows and piston with the only difference being the number and position of the holes in the top and bottom plates. I've gathered this info on top and bottom plate hole/stud count:
1R11-066: top Plate: 3 hole/studs bottom plate: 3 hole/studs 1R11-151: top plate: 2 hole/studs bottom plate 2 hole/studs 1R11-152: top plate: 2 hole/studs bottom plate: 3 hole/studs You should be able to do a visual inspection of your bus's air-spring top and bottom mounts to determine which spring is used for each axle. My LXi definitely has the 1R11-151 on the steer and the 1R11-152 on the drive. david brady, '02 Wanderlodge LXi 'Smokey' (Sold), '04 Prevost H3 Vantare 'SpongeBob' "I don't like being wrong, but I really hate being right" |
