MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND RACE/RALLY AT MAXTON, NC.
Randy Dupree has the new engine in in the Fiat race car and all that
it needs is a good cleaning and it is ready to race and he is planning on running it at Maxton, NC on Memorial day weekend. We will arrive at the track on 5/26/05 Thursday afternoon and leave on Monday, if all goes as planned. We are hoping for more 'Birds and owners, as well as any brand of RV's, to come this time and the six that were there last race/rally. The spectator entry fee for the entire weekend is only $5.00 per person and you will have to sign a waiver for the ECTA, this includes FREE DRY CAMPING on pavement at our own section in the pit area and only water is available. Randy is bringing the Fujita griddle and the gas grille, donations for food and ice, etc. is always welcome. We will collect some voluntary $$$ for the Grocery run when you get there. Just ask those of us that attended the last race/rally and you will see that a relaxed and fun time was had by all. It is not all racing and staying at the track, we will also make some side adventures for both the guys and the gals. For photos of past race /rally's at Maxton check out Randy's photo web site at; http://www.pbase.com/image/41002032 Follow the instructions on the page and then click on the "Dupree Racing" album. We have a small project to do at the track, the trees along the road into the track, have some low hanging limbs, Randy is bringing his pole saw, so we can trim them back a bit, remember this is to keep your coach from getting banged up. This small chore will only take an hour or so. For the meeting place and time, or directions to the track, give me a call at 803-783-7137. __________________ REMEMBER SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 John Finn '82 35FCRB BLUEBIRD WANDERLODGE TO VISIT THE "FINN'S INN EXPRESS" REMODELING ADVENTURE GO TO; http://www.pbase.com/image/24977457 '66 SUPERIOR / IH 392 GAS V8 32' PUSHER "FOR SALE" SEE THE OLD COACH AT: http://www.pbase.com/image/26052733 HOPKINS, SOUTH CAROLINA |
