LCD TV MOUNT
HI
I have a 88 WLWB XXV. I have mounted a 23" sony lcd tv in the front of my coach. This coach has cabinets on both the port(left) and starboard (right) sides of the coach. The original tv was mounted in the center using an elaboratly constructed custom bracket. Basically I used a LCD flat wall mount purchased from the same places I purchased the the TV and a couple of pieces of unistrut. The mount and the unistrut are mounted behind the board which used to surround the tv and to which the braket was fastened. The TV fits perfectly between the two doors. It is basically a surface mount. It completly covers the hole for the old tv, the look is good, I could remove it and put the old tv back in place and you would never know that I had changed it. as far as sound since the old tv had been taken apart to hook up to the speakers and the new tv had RCA jacks, I just used a small 12dc auto amp wired the speakers and tv to it. put a small switch under tv to on and off the amp, works great...especially with the immotion sat dish on top. LCD TV MOUNT
I installed a 26in LCD then one week later replaced it with a
32inLCD. Returning the 26in to the store was the most difficult part of the upgrade. There are descriptions of each step of the install if you scroll below the pics in my photoalbum. http://www.pbase.com/gregoryoc/wanderlodge&page=all GregoryO'Connor 94ptRomolandCA --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "jqrjr" > > HI > > I have a 88 WLWB XXV. Greg, looked at your pictures. Great job. Very neat install. So...I
need to use a 32 inch & should plan on NOT RETURNING IT. Saw your pictures of the "march" in front of Circuit City. Well done! Jim,
On the subject of conecting the old speakers to the new tv, could you give a little more info on the amp and how you made the conection from the new tv to amp, were you able to just use the RCA lack for that? And where did you get the amp? Thanks! Robert Britton 87FC Hollister, California --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "jqrjr" > > HI > > I have a 88 WLWB XXV. RCA audio Outputs from TV to a small auto amp. I mounted the amp in
the front of the coach connected the amp outpust to the speaker leads powered it with a 12v lead in from the bus up front. I put a switch inline so that I could shut off the power to the amp.
