Goat ? Rails
This term "Goat Rails" surely is an Arab nomenclature. They take their
goats with them everywhere, even on their ships. Will not be associated with anything I own so another name is in order. Not really , the dear wife is in the bus. That keeps me busy. This is a great forum mostly about fixing problems so a little light hearted change wouldn't hurt, right? I think I will have an artist hand paint "GOAT RAILS" on my goat rails. I'll use Ferrari red with dark grey shading over the Frito- Lay fleet silver factory base paint. I've always been a little off center but mostly to the right. Whatta you think? Talking points? If I monitor, I monitor channel 19. 12,000 miles in 16 months and only saw two BBs. Seems like an average taking place here... Curt Sprenger 1987 PT38, Anaheim Hills, Calif. Goat ? Rails
We've called them "luggage racks" since first coming in contact with
the Wanderlodges in the '70s, the goat-rail term came from this forum from what I can tell. - Jeff Miller in Holland, MI --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Jerry" > > This term "Goat Rails" surely is an Arab nomenclature. the converted coach guys were calling our roof rails "goat rails" or "sheep fences" 18 years ago,i was working at converted coach rallys and quartzite in those days and i heard that term back then. its a term of endearment to me! i like the rails,no matter what they are called! randy > > We've called them "luggage racks" since first coming in contact with > the Wanderlodges in the '70s, the goat-rail term came from this forum > from what I can tell. > > - Jeff Miller > in Holland, MI > > > --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Jerry" > > > > This term "Goat Rails" surely is an Arab nomenclature. Goat ? Rails
Jerry, its amazing that a person intellegent enough to compose a
sentence using the word nomenclatuer could be so acrimonious. It is obvious to me that the guy in the BB design department that came up with the rail design (18 years ago) was old. Goat ? Rails
18years? I know you've seen the '60s and '70s coaches with the rails,
the early ones were even round-tubing like the ladder. - Jeff Miller in Holland, MI --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Gregory OConnor" > ><<snip>> > > It is obvious to me that the guy in the BB design department that > came up with the rail design (18 years ago) was old. > > Gregory Habib O'Connor Husacky |
