Water Pump Keeps Running
I seem to have a water pump that keeps running. I have the two pump
system with the bathroom switch that lets you select pump A or pump B or both. When I select pump B or both A & B the system continues to run. Is there a pressure switch that could have gone south and if so can anyone tell me what it looks like and maybe where it might be located. If not a pressure switch could it be some other gold plated wangflanger part. Rob 94 wlwb |

Rob
Make certain your fresh water fill switch hasn't been accidently switched to fill, this will cause your pump to run on. Fred & Jeanne Hulse Morristown Arizona 1997 Wanderlodge PT41 |

Thanks Fred. I've made that mistake before all right. No it's not the fill
switch. Only the one pump runs on while the other works properly. Water Pump Keeps Running
Hi Rob,
The pressure switch is located on the end of the pump - has two wires going to it, one from power and the other to the pump motor. The switch is available separately from most RV suppliers. Thanks George I'm going to try and adjust that pressure switch and will let you
know if I'm successful. Water Pump Keeps Running
Failure of the Sporlan fill valve AND/OR failure of the hot water tank drain
valve will also cause this symtom. I faught this for months before I found that both were defective. However, this was on a one pump system. So may not apply to a 2 pump system as in the newer BB's. Water Pump Keeps Running
Problem seems to be solved. I had some air in the line and when I openned a
drain valve it expelled air and the pump immediately shut off. It cycles correctly now. Thanks to all for your help. Rob, Sue & Merlin 94 WLWB |
