Written by freelandm on 2005-08-29 14:59:20 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --- I just called Verizon and asked their Broadband billing folks about the price reduction. The gal knew nothing about it ("We're always the last to hear about these changes...") and she said she saw the same old prices on her pricing screen, but said she'd inquire with marketing and call me back. Sure enough, 5 minutes later she called back: The price went down from $79.99 to $59.99 for unlimited broadband effective today and all she needed was my approval to have marketing move me to the new plan. They have evindelty not updated their software yet to allow her to make the change. She also said there was one stipulation: I need to keep one cell phone account active for every broadband account, which is not a issue for me. With respect to extending the contract, she expects that they will handle it like any other plan change. If you have a 2 year contract and more than 12 months left, the contract expiration date remains unchanged. Who cares about that, with this kind of customer service, I don't expect to switch. END OF Message From Dan Weaver ... Thanks Dan. __________________ Dave and Judy Beatty 83 FC35SB (BirdCage) Federal Way, Washington State |
