Good morning,
Proud new owner of a Vintage 1988 Wide Body. Totally new to the RV scene so my question is very basic. At the power connection station (driver side rear of bus behind wheels) there are three potential ports. There are two cords that came with the coach. One 50 amp 4 pronged plug and one 3 pronged 30 amp plug.

I am waiting on electrician to install a 240V 50 amp circuit to resolve the overall issue. But in the mean time I have a 120V 15 amp circuit (garage radio) available and a 240V 20 amp circuit available (my air compressor plug).

Does the 30 amp port and associated cord on my Wanderlodge use 120v or 240v? Does it matter? Or does it simply accept the power and then by some unknown and lesser understood (by me) magic make it work. I do understand that I can not run the major appliances at the lower "amps". All I am trying to do is power the lighting and charge the batteries while I begin some interior restoration.
I would rather use the 240v 20 amp circuit but clearly I don't want to mess up anything by utilizing he wrong voltage.

I have read the owners manual cover to cover and scoured this blog and can not find any mention or reference to this subject.

So the simple question is...Do the shore/commercial power ports and associated cords on my 1988 Wanderlodge need 240 source? 120 source? Or does it matter.

I am the proud owner of a "new to me" M380. I purchased Robert Britton's beautiful "Blue" Wanderlodge. This post may get a bit complicated, but I want to share my adventure so far.

On my first solo outing I broke the living room slide. Then I compounded the problem by causing a second error in the PLC-Controller. I tried a new PLC, restart, reboot.... everything I could. No Joy.

Through research I discovered the identity of the original Bluebird System Integrator located in Barnesville, Georgia. I contacted the source and was advised they would attempt to assist. My thoughts, as a result of my trouble shooting was the necessity to communicate to the PLC and restore the program. To do this one needs the software program, communication cable and skills to reinstall the "software". After much planning, Penny and I traveled to the east coast with an appointment with the "inventor".

We meet and greet at the source in Barnesville. Chit-Chat, then to work.... Joey produces original design specs, wiring docs and design data, as well as working knowledge as to how the system should work. In short order we uncover a bent interface pin in the plug on top of the PLC.. PLC communicates to the E50 terminal through this plug. Guess what????. replace the plug and the slide system says " Ok to operate room"....so we operate it. Seal Deflates, Locks open, actuator pushes out... room stows. ALL IS GOOD!!!.

Joey says the display is not 100% healthy and suggests we need to reinstall the software... unfortunately no computer interface cable is available. For now I have living room slide that goes in, goes out, stows and locks properly. I am happy. Still working on finding proper cable so software can be updated.
I know that it can sometimes be difficult finding where documentation is located on a given forum. To make it a little easier all you need to do is click on the page header TopLink labeled: Document Library

From there you'll see a set of directories that should be self explanatory and should guide you to what you're looking for.
Right now there's only one directory: "Owners Manuals"

As we upload more documentation I'll do my best to create a directory structure that makes sense.
Keep the documentation coming! Thanks!
