So, last week I decided to do some "routine" maintenance on my Bird.
Why is it that I always get into something when I do routine
maintenance?
How do I prime my 87 3208T? I read some posts about a "prime pump",
but I don't know if mine has one. Below is how I got to this problem,
if it matters.
Thanks,
Alan

Here's what happened. I took off my doghouse, which included
disconnecting the guage on the side of the doghouse for the Racor.
Later on, I decided I needed to turn my Bird around so I would be in
the shade. While I was moving it, it started idling rough. Being the
quick thinker that I am, I remembered the hose that was connected to
the Racor. When I put my finger over the hose, it started running
better. I finished turning it around, left it running to go check on
if I had it positioned where I wanted it (now without my finger on the
hose). It then started idling rough again and died.
I finished my maintenance, reconnected the racor guage and tried to
start it, but it seems to not be getting fuel. I'm pretty sure it had
something to do with my disconnecting the guage.
