After an exhaustive search on Google, the coach on the home page is
from the Oberto company. http://www.ohboyoberto.com
It doesn't show that coach, but has descriptions of all their products.
It seems to be a large company that sponsors events. Ernie-83PT40 in

Although I can't see the lights enough to be sure, I'm starting to
think it is '82-'83, ... could be an '84 WLII if not for the front
cap. It doesn't seem to have a center A/C which would indicate 31/33
or WLII but other things tell me WLII. Sure am curious.

If this is a WLII, these items have been added to the base WLII:
Alloy wheels, landing lights, awning, roof rack, air horns. On the
other hand, it has painted bumpers.

The salon side windows extend to the bottom of the bump-strip. The
taller windows started in '82, I think.

The mirrors are the same as those shown on the 82 and 83. In the BB
liturature, the mirrors changed from 83 to 84. The WLII was 1984
only, and (ours) uses the standard 84 WL mirror.

I think there is too much distance from the door to the front
wheelwell to be a 31'. The 33 gains about a foot in that area.

My guess is 82-83 33'. Hard to tell why the bumpers are painted, but
paint *is* an inexpensive way to temporarily deal with rusted chrome,
and this bus has seen lots of paint.

Jeff: Is there no center roof air, or no roof airs at all? I guess
the roof airs could have been replaced with vents. Same size hole.

Randy: Are you guessing cruise air because of no roof air? Is there
anywhere to stuff cruise air units under this age and length FC? It
is sure shallow and cramped under there compared to PTs of the same
age.

Since there is a running discussion about what year and model the
front page Bird is, I have added 3 pictures to a photo albumn called
"Front Page Photos of Advertising Bird". They are full size for a few
days so that you can see the details better.

Looks like Ernie may have too much time on his hands with his
"exhaustive Google search", but he apprears to be correct about the
ownership, since the license plate says "OHBOY 2".

Jeff, I can't tell if it is a commercial plate and did not look at
that when I took the pictures.

When trying to identify the Bird, on the front page shot ignore what
appears to be a black exhaust pipe on the top front. It is actually a
telephone pole in the background that I just quickly erased the top
off in Photoshop for the front page picture.

Bob in one of my old brochers it shows all the rigs with painted bumpers. Maybe
it came from the factory that way. I bet if they researched it a little bit
more it probably was a special model that was ordered from the factory just like
mine! Rebel Bird with the back door! Jon

I believe it is a 1982 FC33 that has been altered. It appears to have a
cruisair in the rear bedroom and a roof air in the kitchen area. The flying
saucer TV antenna is mounted to the roof rack like a 1982 but the cow
catcher has been added to cover the condenser for some reason. The spot
light is mounted in the center of the condenser like my 1982 FC35. The twin
air horns are in the correct place and appear like my 1982 FC35. The rear
window has been covered. Appears to me to be a one of a kind factoru built
since it is doubtful that an individual would add the cruiseair. It appears
to have the 12.5KW perkins generator and the LP tank in front of the door.

Alloys were on most WLIIs, as were chrome bumpers, and full air-
suspension, and by now most have had additions such as these. The
roof-rack would be unusual.

The front cap and mirrors are definately pre-'84, as are the lights,
which puts us in the mid-'82 through mid-'83 with the '82-up
windows, ... the new photos reveal a center cruise air and diesel
genset, so mid-'82 to mid-'83 FC35.

Now seeing whether it has a turbo and retarder will be a little more
difficult from these photos. I wonder how it got a fixed-mount
antenna, that and the lack of cornering light made me wonder if they
used the early mirrors on the WLII and it was therefore a well-
optioned WLII, but not with the center A/C and diesel genset.

Fun to try to identify it though.

Randy - In the new photos, I can see what are probably cruise air
grills along the passenger side. This sure seems like a one-off from
BB. - Bob
