The air steps on my '91SP are a rubber/vinyl tile that is a bit
shabby, especially the leading edge. There is a right angle piece of
aluminum serving as the edge on each step but it appears to have been
glued and re-glued in place numerous times. I'm about to re-glue it
but I know it will come off again and I'm wondering what ingenious
methods have been used to re-surface the steps. I did see a picture
on one of the forums where someone had replaced the step surface with
diamond plate shiny steel. I think I would like some practical and
durable tile-type surface with a leading edge that will last. Any
help welcome.
