I removed and replaced my heater today. It still works and I just
wanted something newer. It is available to anyone for free- just pay

not a direct replacement, Jay. It happpens a few months ago I bought a little
space heater and it fit- the thing you have to look out for- is the total
height. I cut the wood at the top of the original frame and it had clearance. i
believe the clearance is 8 inches. The width can be up to 20 inches. also-
measure your depth, that is also a factor. Now I have endless heat.

My bath heater works, makes heat, but then a safety "over-heat" switch
doesn't allow it to run again for about 30 minutes. Gets cool in the
bathroom before the heater runs again. May need a new fan motor.
I'd like to replace it. Have not found the direct replacement yet.

Jay,etal: I replaced the motor on the Fasco fan in the Galley on RUBY
(the long narrow one, also I think Fasco calls it the under cabinet
or step), a while back. I got the motor from Grainger, I don't have
the part # in my Maint log, but I am sure you can find one. Pull the
heater and take the motor/fan and you can match it up.
If you go that route, then you will have to buy a new fan as well, if
I remember correctly, the shaft size was off. But no biggy there
(cept another trip to Grainger) either, the hardest part was
adjusting the fan so it did not hit anything. Works great. I prefer
the electric heat when we can need to use it much quieter.
Let me know if you have any problems I will (read have Judi) search
for the invoice.

Hi Ernie,
If you're going to be around this week, I'd like to try & stop in to
take a look at your bath electric heater replacement. Did you get your
heater at the Home Depot in Bozeman? I may check with Grainger in
Billings too since they carry all types. I need to do the same thing on
the PT40. Still making progress on all the refurbishment. Installing a
new microwave this week & all new roof vents. Almost ready for paint,
must happen before the snows start.
