Earlier this week it was posted here that there was a 'Bird on e-bay
for auction. It was being offered for auction (supposedly) by a man
named Paul Davis of Olivers RV in Princeton Texas.

This auction was a complete hoax. I suspect the same can be said
for Paul Davis and Olivers RV.

I was the last bidder at $28,100.00 when the time ran out. The next
thing I see is a acreen saying, 'you were out bid -- the winning
bidder is enzo at $19,101.00' Enzo had not previously even placed a
bid!

This was advertised as a no reserve auction.

What I joke, I was not out bid. I was shut out. This whole affair
was crooked as a snake.

Just thought I share my experience with the group.

I believe you are mistaken and may not know how the ebay bidding
goes. You may have condemned and defamed the seller and Mr. Olivers
RV unless you have the facts.

I have no dog in this fight but it appears you are incorrect and an
inspection of the item number 4576177073 will show there were 19
bids and Enzofan bid at $27,900 not the $19,101.00 that you noted,
and again at $29,101 for the winning bid. I suspect you were bidder
8119jamesd and you did bid $28,100 at 19:55:12 PDT . Unfortunately
there were 3 more bids after yours Enzofan being the last bidder of
$29,101 at 20:03:44 PDT. The auction closed at 20:04:24 PDT

If you are going to bid on items like this(and I frequently do) then
make sure you have your computer clock set to EXACTLY the Ebay time
clock and then read the rules for bidding, specifically . I believe
you will find this particular auction was truthful and above board.

A friend of mine bought a coach from this guy and loved him. He spent
the night in the coach at his place to make sure everything worked.
He called my friend two weeks later to make sure everything was Ok
and that he was happy with the coach. I have talked with him a couple
of times and he seemed like a good guy. Don't know why the auction
messed up. I bought a Wanderlodge on Ebay and the bidding was screwy
at the end but the sale worked. Who knows??

Dave

Jim,

eBay archives show the winning bid as $29,101.

Very likely there was a last second bid!

Yeah, Dave, I know this bus shows as being available on his web
site, but it isn't.

He put it up for auction on e-bay 10 days ago. That auction ended
on Monday evening at 8:04 pn pst. There was supposedly no reserve.
I was the high bidder at the conclusion of the auction. And then
the winning bidder was announced and it was not me. It was someone
who never made a bid on the bus. I was never given an opportunity
to match the fantom bid.

Tihs auction was a hoax pure and simple. Paul Davis is a man of
questionable character and honesty. It has the apparence of him
selling the bus after he put it up for auction and before the
auction ended. You can all connect the dots. But I can give you
first hand evidence that this auction was a completely bogus.

If it requires a contract to list an item for auction on e-bay, Paul
Davis must be clearly out of trust .

He wasted my time and the time of others who were bidding on the bus.

Let me add this...

After the auction ended I sent Paul Davis an e-mail. It has not been
answered. I also called him on the phone but could not leave a
message, I got a busy signal. The man took his phone off the hook!

Nice way to do business.

Have you contacted Ebay yet?
