Hi. My Dad had multi BB WL's. His last was a 1985 PT-40 I believe, and was named HOMESTEADER on the front and played 'On the Road Again' LOUDLY from an exterior horn. I'll put a photo here. When he died in 6/1997 I drove it from his home in Virginia to Jackson Mississippi (his childhood state-for burial). My uncle Carl N (Wimpy) Thomas sold it for my mom. He sold it for $80K in October 1997. Uncle Wimpy had a place called Surplus City in Jackson and whoever bought it (from out of state if I remember right) would have gone there to pick it up. I'm so sorry I didn't keep the VIN # to make it easier to find. It had one very unique aspect at the time - a JennAire brand grill stove - which we had at home and Dad really wanted one in his BB. They finally agreed to do it provided Dad sign all kinds of waivers, etc. I heard they may have put some in others later on, but his was the first. Thanks to my Dad starting with RV's when I was 19, when I wanted to retire in 2017 I did so without a lot of money and decided to sell my house for savings and buy my own first RV. I had driven his BB often. I've been almost full time RV since then - I keep Dad's Bluebird pin on my sun visor and key chain on my keys. I know it's a long shot, but perhaps someone here will know its whereabouts. Truth is, as I get older (I'm almost 75 and do the RV life on my own - BY CHOICE! I'm a solitude junkie haha) and when I can't do it anymore I would SO LOVE to have Dad's Bluebird sit next to my 288 sqft tiny house I have as a 'stopping point' right now. My RV connects to it with a deck and the RV remains my bedroom etc.while the tiny house gives me a kitchen and living room and a place to die one day. So even if Dad's old rig has gone too far beyond its glory days to be a decent traveling RV, I could still have it as part of my 'home' in this set up. Well, there you have it. I am happy for all of you who have and love your Wanderlodge's. They were such a big part of our family's life and we all miss them, as we do our Dad. Thanks for listening. I hope it's ok I've put this in here. Any ideas of other ways to search without a VIN would be greatly appreciated. Take care. Dorothy Thomas

Hello. New member here. I have a 2004 Blue Bird LTC-40 that has been converted to a motorhome. It has a CAT C12 engine. It is the same chassis that the Wanderlodges were built on. I believe my danfoss Radiator Fan is turning too slowly. For some background information. I have the electronic controller unplugged which should make the fan run wide open. In the past, unplugging the controller would kick the fan into high. The fan on the CAC is turning much faster. Today when I started the engine the fan was not turning until I spun it with my hand. I ran my rig in the ditch before this happened and busted one of the large hydraulic hoses on the bottom of the reservoir. After the wrecker put me back on the road, I drove about 30 yards without fluid to get the rig back into the driveway. My current symptoms are engine begins to warm up past 210 when going up hills. I changed the thermostat, coolant, and radiator cap today before I noticed the fan not turning like it should.
Thank you for any advice you may be able to offer.

Ok, so for the life of me, I can't figure this out on our new to us M380.

On the back of the coach, there is what looks like a fuel filler door with what looks like a radiator cap behind it located above the engine where you would expect a radiator fill to be.

But when I open the engine compartment, immediately below that door/cap is a big tank with a "Cold fill" indicator and some caution notices about refrigerant.

Is the door & cap where I put in antifreeze/coolant and the labels are for something else? It just doesn't make sense to me, and I sure don't want to pour coolant into something else!

Thanks!

I am new to this forum, and the new owner of a 1985 PT 36. My coach is in great condition with only a few minor things that need work.
The previous owner had the generator serviced just prior to the sale. The shop removed it from the tray and installed new seals and gaskets. After getting home with the coach, I discovered that a portion of the generator's exhaust is missing.
I have the original Perkins/ Kohler unit. Everything to the rear of the slide out tray is in a fixed position. From the manifold on the engine, the exhaust goes to the rear about twelve inches, turns down about twelve inches, and then turns to the rear for about twelve more inches where there is a male threaded flange. Then nothing until a slightly flared part bolted to a portion of the frame. Past this to the rear is the rest of the pipe and muffler. When the tray is in the out position there are about twenty four inches between these two parts and less than two inches when the tray is closed. I initially thought a portion of pipe was meant to slide into the flared part to the rear of the tray, but the pipe turns up and over the steering tie rod about ten inches to the rear of the flared part.
I would greatly appreciate any help and/or direction to a thread on the forum where this might have already been discussed.
Thanks!

They asked if I keep the motorhome plugged in all the time and I told them yes. Several on this forum have told me that this is the best way to get the maximum use out of the batteries. They said this is a common mistake and when not in use the batteries should only be plugged in about one week out of four months of storage.
Don't mean to interrupt. Don't know what I'm doing. I bought a 1998 lxi and need to drive it home. The lady I bought it from knows nothing about it but told me to put it in drive,go and when stopping, go into park and then neutral. Is it necessary TO GO INTO NEUTRAL AND WHY?
Well I thought we should do a monthly thread on our plans for a given month . May not mean much to some , but it is something I have been doing for the past 4 years or so on the road.

Ok ,

we made a stop at Parliament for service and repair , not much on the repair side but service will do that for you .

we will spend 10 days all together in Fla then head up north for the balance of the month . It will be great to escape the heat and enjoy some fall temps

so how about you guys what lies ahead this Sept , and where will you be ?
