Hi All,
Just wanted to introduce myself and say a quick hi. I've been shopping around for an entry-level FC35SB for a while and finally found an '82 in Gulf Shores, AL. I sent over a deposit and will be picking up in a few weeks for the drive back to Charlotte, NC. In the last (2) years it has had tires, batteries, airbags, kingpins and inverters amongst other items. Seems to have the basics covered for the trip home. I've been lurking around and reading up on all I can regarding maintenance and common issues.

Thanks,
Everyone, I recently purchased a 94 WB40, so far it has been great.
What I wanted to track down are the type of fluids that everyone recommends....

Detroit Diesel 8V92 Turbo
Oil type / brand:
Coolant type / brand:

Allison AT 755
Transmission Fluid:

Hydraulic Oil type / brand:

PowetTech 15KW
Oil type / brand:
Coolant type / brand:

I know there is a lot of opinions on these subjects, but I need to purchase and have on hand for whatever might come up while traveling, at the very least know what to ask for at a supply store.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks in advance

Hello from the Mendocino Coast!

Earlier this year I bought a 1987 Wanderlodge PT38. It's equipment is a Detroit 8V92 turbo, Allison 4-speed, Kohler/Yanmar genny and the usual Wanderlodge icing on the cake. Under 70,000 miles, under 4000 hours.

It was a bit distressed and I took it on as a refurbishment project... having never worked on an RV in my life. But I've dove in at the deep end of projects before. It was assembled by hand, it can be fixed by mere mortals, right?

Over the past few months I've only been able to get a couple things done. I had the engine checked out, and the shut down solenoid rebuilt. Oil change, Racor cleaned, oil sample sent to the lab. Good to go!

(The first time I started it it wouldn't shut down, and there was some nervous tinkering while we tried to find the fuel shutoff cam. Later we added a lawnmower throttle control cable to shut it off with!)

After that I put all new tires on it. Really good to go!

I've taken the rest of the summer off and hope to address some of the other issues. (Generator won't run, hot water heater on the blink, stairs don't deploy... etc.) So I'll be on here mooching free advice and sharing what I find out.

Cheers!

Hi there everyone! My husband and I were given a 1981 Bluebird Wonderlodge 33ft BEAST!!! It was handed down from my step father's Mom and Dad. It has been sitting in an outside storage facility for approximately 3 years. Before both Grandma and Grandpa passed away, this was thier home. They retired and lived in this from 1983 to about early 2000's. They would document everything....and I mean EVERYTHING! From what they ate on a particular day to every bump in the road. The motor was replaced right before they stopped using it. So about 8,000 miles on the motor. My husband and I got it finally up and running and now need to fix the kinks here and there. I will hopefully figure out how to post some pics on here! Oh btw we are both 39 and have a 5 year old Gunnar. We live in Sunny/HOTTT California! Thanks and happy to meet you all!
Unfortunately, the unit I found here was a dog and I walked away from it. (I think I heard it barking at me as I drove away...ha ha!) If anyone does a search for M380’s in this area they will likely turn this unit up… Buyer beware!

At least that is what the title said, until FL tax collector decided to change the vin from the chassis vin to the body vin, and re-brand it a motor home.
I thought this a bit unusual, since it was a one owner unit and I even had shown that every registration from day one showed the chassis vin on the title and listed it a camper. I could sort of get changing from camper, because FL recognizes a camper as something pulled, not driven.
Has anyone else ever had this issue?
Either way we are stoked to own a classic one, and are already discovering that we know literally nothing about most systems, but it looks as though the blue box contains hours and hours of learning.

Hello everyone,
Just joined this wonderful Wanderlodge Forum. Hoping to learn a lot about the BB Wanderlodge as I decide which type I want to buy.

A little about me. I’m a married 56-year-old and a farther to a beautiful 23-year-old daughter Ashley. I live in Bayside Queens NY. I used to own a 1993 31’ Tiffin Allegro Bay. Currently I own a 2007 Holiday Rambler 23’ Augusta Sport class C. I hope within the next year or two to either be the proud owner of a BB Wanderlodge or Prevost. I’m leaning towards the BB Wanderlodge. In the meantime, I hope you let me hang around here to soak up as much Wanderlodge knowledge as possible.

If there are any BB Wanderlodge owners in the surrounding states of NY I would like the opportunity to see a Wanderlodge up close.

Salutations to all! My name is Andy and my wife Jean, we have been proud owners of a 1996 WLWB-42 since March of this year. What a great machine and being a total hands-on maintenance kind of guy, it really keeps my spare time to a minimum. Looking forward to conversing with you all. I would update my signature, but I cannot figure out how. I looked at my user CP menu, but found no option to do it. This would be my first request for help..........
