2001 LXi Hydraulic Motor for Radiator Removal
I am hopeing I can get some information on this.

I recently had my radiator and CAC renewed- Very expensive. I am still having overheating problems - not nearly as bad. On my trip from Illinois to Florida I had to hold down the speed to 55mph for a good part of the trip. Going thru the mountain areas was quite difficult.
I am told I need a new or rebuilt hydraulic motor to drive the fan. Was also told they are several months backlogged - but a rebuilt kit is available.

Two questions:
1- Does anyone know the model number of the hydraulic motor?
2- Does anyone know how to remove it without removing the radiator?

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

RE: 2001 LXi Hydraulic Motor for Radiator Removal
From an earlier post:

the motor is Sauer Sundstrand 551101134190 if anybody needs it.

The part is a pulse modulator valve Sauer Danfoss # 11162941.

RE: 2001 LXi Hydraulic Motor for Radiator Removal
I am getting a little (maybe more than a little) confused. When you talk about the Hayden fan are you talking about the hydraulic fan that cools the radiator?
Where are the Hayden fans that are discussed in the articles?
This ia all very interesting - but I just want to make sure I am understanding all the issues so I can get this thing fixed once and hopefully for all.

Still looking for any advice on removing the hydraulic motor driving the fan that cools the radiator.

Thanks

RE: 2001 LXi Hydraulic Motor for Radiator Removal
I'd say you're confusing posts someplace, as I never mentioned anything about the Hayden fans, nor does the linked thread I posted. The hydraulic motor that drives the engine cooling fan are the numbers I've posted above. I am not talking about the electric fans that cool the hydraulic cooler.

I'm pretty sure I remember folks talking about removing the engine fan motor without removing the radiator. I know I could do it on the 96 without removing the radiator.
