23Pictures, White w/Blue Stripes. 97.3K Miles. $14.5K. Near Harrisburg, PA.

"1964 Bluebird Classic (Transit Home) Wanderlodge Prototype, Class A Motorhome.
White/Blue Stripe. This is one of the first few prototypes built prior to the 1966 startup of The Bluebird Wanderlodge. This certain vehicle was a PA One Owner, owned by a Bluebird School Bus Contractor who purchased it on 11/28/1966. then a dealer, then me.
The workmanship still shows very well in the interior of the coach. And coach has 97,292 miles. It is equipped with a Chevrolet 409 4 barrel carbureted engine, 5 Speed Manual Transmission, Power Brakes- (vacuum boosted), Manual Steering, AM Motorola Radio, drivers side mounted fan, Coach AC Air-Roof, Rear Quarters Air Conditioning-110v, Norcold Refrigerator, Propane Gas Stove, Hot Water Heater 6 gal, 2 Coach Furnaces (1 inop), Two engine interior heaters, and fans, Onan 10KW Generator- Mounted Front Passenger Side- (gas) (inop), Large 100 lb Propane Tank- Chassis Mounted. Newer slider windows all replaced w/screens, along coach.
Two brand new engine batteries, one large capacity house Battery. New starter, all new tune up parts, rebuilt 4 barrel carburetor, new valve cover gaskets, new intake manifold gaskets. and new air cleaner / filter assy. ALL NEW TIRES (6), refurbished and inspected rims, stripped and powder coated (6), engine oil and filter changed, transmission 5 speed gearbox oil changed, chassis greased, rear axle serviced. New fuel filter, One new electric fuel pump, fuel tanks flushed, radiator overhauled, new cap, new waterpump, many new hoses, new windshield washer motor and reservoir, new halogen headlamps. two brand new memory foam mattresses in the rear stateroom. New $400 cover last fall few small holes. could it use new carpeting ? yes unless you like seafoam green !
Body excellent overall. does have two areas that are in need of sheet metal repair, front upper corners flat sheet metal, due to rust, these are riveted bodies and are easy to repair.
The water system is the current project, new 40 PSI pump. and trying to figure this system out. lots of plumbing and valves. There is a separated half bath area, with adjacent large shower. 3x3 I believe.

The condition of the vehicle is very nice for its age, probably an honest "GOOD" condition motorhome. It rolls down streets and highways quite nicely. It Fits the length limit for visits to the National Parks. Great for RV, Car,& Airshows, a second home away from home, it doesn't feel like camping in this thing! going to the big games, traveling. Your own reality TV Show! Yes right here in something interesting. Tour the country like Johnny Cash did. Route 66 in your "64 !!! ect. ect. you get it !!!

Probably more for an aficionado of older classic vehicles, Motorhomes, RV's, Campers, TANKS and military equipment !!! or a new tail gater? who knows. But if you don't know how to drive a truck, and i mean a "TRUCK"!!! and can't explain things like double clutching and syncing a 5 speed gear box........ you probably shouldn't waste our time. But it is easy to learn... just not test driving my new clutch!!!
Payment for this unit will be in CASH or wire transfer.

for further questions please respond with your e-mail or phone number.
Be prepared for some qualifying questions, to weed out tire kickers and the scam artists.

Also take note that this unit is an actual prototype Class A made right at the factory. Not a converted school bus. One of the first 10,
and with the rare Chevy 409-V8 option.

Again, it needs some loving attention here and there, or someone that can continue to bring this back to its original glory. A Rare Classic Class A Beauty !!!

Will be nearby and viewable during the 2016 Hershey RV Show !!! "
